7 Laptop maintenance tips.
- Laptop Cleanliness.
- Use and store your laptop in areas with good ventilation.
- Make sure your room or workspace is clean of dust. If possible, clean your room or workspace twice a day for easy airflow.
- Use your laptop in a flat, stable place like a desk. This is to prevent your laptop from falling.
- Avoid using laptops on mattresses, pillows, sofas and carpets. Therefore, it will close the air streaming space of your laptop. If it is closed, your laptop will overheat due to heat trapped inside, especially for male and female university students who do not take the weight of this.
- Keep food and drinks away. The remnants of these foods and drinks will attract insects to get into your laptop. If you follow my experience, insects such as ants often go into the laptop to make a nest.
- Don't let pets like cats come close to your laptop. These cat hairs are easily shredded by your laptop fan, and over time they will close your laptop's air conditioning space.
- Keep your laptop away from damp places like the kitchen and bathroom. This is to avoid water spilling over the laptop.
- Keyboard (Keyboard)
- Clean your keyboard from dust stuck in the keyboard interstate.
- Use a keyboard protector for protection from dust.
- Use a clean brush to clean your laptop keyboard.
- The main enemy of the keyboard is water. Do not let water drip or spillover your laptop keyboard.
- If you're a game firm core (Games), use the USB keyboard (External keyboard) to keep your laptop keyboard resilience.
Battery
- Use the charging adjustment (AC Adapter) that comes together with your laptop. Avoid using air conditioning customizers from other brands and laptop models.
- Keep your battery in a cool and dry place. The recommended temperature is from 10°C to 30°C. Higher temperatures will cause the battery to lose charge faster.
- If you use a laptop to do heavy work involving graphics and games (temperatures above 60°C), the battery should be removed from the laptop socket to prevent unwanted heating. High temperatures shorten the battery life of your laptop.
- For laptops with a non-removable battery, you are encouraged to use a cooling pad if you use a laptop to do graphics work and play games.
- If you do not use your laptop for a long time, make sure that the laptop battery charge is left at least 50%.
- Do not leave your laptop battery charge blank if you want to keep the battery for a long time. This is true with a lithium-ion-based laptop battery.
Basic Software
- Use antivirus. Each laptop must be installed with Antivirus software, either free or paid. It protects your laptop from virus attacks and malicious software (malware).
- Copy important files periodically to a mobile hard drive (External Hard Drive). Don't expect your laptop's hard drive to store important data. Practice storing two copies of your important data, such as Cloud storage
- Do not download unnecessary software. Just download the software that you really fully use. Please scan the software by using antivirus before you install the software you downloaded earlier into your laptop.
- Ensure your Windows and Basic Software operating systems are always up to date and can be downloaded from this link. Download Software

- Close the LCD screen using both your hands on the left and right side of your laptop screen. The reason is that to keep your laptop hinge to be durable. Usually, if you only use one hand, the burden borne by your laptop hinge is uneven.
- If you want to move the laptop to the table next door, hold the laptop at the bottom or side of your laptop.

- Clean the screen with a cleaner dedicated to the screen only. Do not use eroding detergents.
